I am a third generation native of Miami, Florida, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Psychology degree from Liberty University. I have previous experience as the Executive Director and Clinical Director of two residential substance abuse treatment centers in Florida and have served on the board of several homeless coalitions and other community organizations. I have extensive experience helping substance abuse treatment centers become state-licensed and improve programs and services.
I previously worked extensively in social services with the homeless, the addicted, the mentally ill, and persons with disabilities, including serving as vice-president of a 6-county homeless coalition. I have developed and overseen several food pantry/soup kitchen operations from South Dade to Okeechobee counties.
I have also worked abroad in providing a variety of services to those most in need; most recently in Haiti where I’ve been traveling to help locals receive and education, clean drinking water, and medical assistance. There, we’ve been helping to develop self-sustaining villages and supporting education and orphanages since early 2010. I served as President of my previous Rotary club and as the Rotary District 6930 International Projects Chair for 2012-2013. I am a Paul Harris Fellow and an ordained pastor. I remain passionate to help others obtain a better life for themselves.
